Inspired by traditional Japanese workwear and built for modern movement, our Climbing Trousers are designed and made entirely in our East London studio.

We wanted to take you behind the scenes and show you the hands-on process that goes into every pair, from fabric choice to final stitch.

 

Sourcing materials

Sustainability guides every decision we make. That means choosing responsible materials, producing thoughtfully, and keeping everything in-house so nothing is rushed or wasted.

For our Climbing Trousers, we’ve selected a 150gsm lightweight vegan friendly waxed cotton from Scotland. It’s showerproof, breathable, and designed to work hard. The more you wear it, the more it softens and adapts to your body, becoming uniquely yours over time.

The threads are the best in the world from Germany - we've tested them all! The cords are from Japan. Like any good recipe it starts with the best ingredients. 

Cutting to sewing

Once the fabric arrives, everything happens under one roof. Each pattern is hand-cut and every garment is sewn here in our studio, allowing us to maintain full control over quality, fit, and finish. 

Alterations are done if needed on length/pockets etc. There are approximately 50 steps from cutting to finishing the garment all carried out by our team of skilled machinists in-house. 

Detailing

Functionality is at the core of everything we design. These trousers are made to perform, whether you’re using them for climbing, on site, or on the move day to day.

We’ve added two deep side pockets and a single back pocket for essentials. We have also reinforced stitching at high-pressure points in the trousers for extra durability and prevent seams, pockets and openings from tearing or fraying under tension. Adjustable toggles at the hem let you wear them loose for everyday wear, or cinch them in when needed for cycling, climbing etc

To support movement and comfort, we’ve added an elasticated waist with an internal drawcord to adjust for a perfect fit, giving you flexibility. 

We've designed the Climbing Trousers to have a cropped fit, however if you would prefer a longer length, pop in to the studio to get measured up or add a note to your order during checkout, and we can alter them for you.
