Fifty kilometres, well above 30°C, a river crossing at halfway and a climb to finish. That was Threshold Trail Series' Race to the Stones Thames Valley 50k, and this month 5 AT95 runners took it on wearing custom Usual Objections x AllTerrain95 Featherlight Race Vests.

AT95 is an outdoor creative agency and community that brings trail running together with food, music and streetwear culture, running group trail runs, panels on mental health outdoors, and collaborations like this one.

The brief came together from a few different places. AT95's own visual identity was one part of it. The way the body moves over that kind of distance was another. But the biggest influence was the route itself. The Thames Valley course crosses England's longest river at the halfway point, then climbs the whole way to the finish at Lattin Down Basecamp. That shape, a crossing followed by a climb, was the starting point for everything we made. We then developed and made the vests here in our Hackney studio.

The race took place on 10 July 2026. It was a tough day all in all, beginning with an overnight camp and then an early morning start with minimal shade for most of it and temperatures sitting well above 30°C for much of the day. That kind of heat turns an already demanding route into an extremely tough one, but the boys pulled through, across the river crossing at halfway and all, before the ground tilts upward for the final push to Lattin Down Basecamp.

That is where the fabric choices earned their place. The vests are laser cut and printed in our studio on our lightweight Featherlight fabric, built for racing. Micro-perforations run through it to regulate temperature as the miles stack up, reflective logos in there for whatever light is left at either end of the day.

AT95 sent the photos back over to us afterwards, shot on film. The whole day was an amazing achievement, and these photos capture it properly.
