We've updated our sizing so you should now find a fit that's right for you - woohoo!!

We're all different! There is no one size fits all, so we've been working hard to give you 3 different body length options (Petite, Regular, Long) and we now offer sizes XXS through to 5XL (UK 4 up to UK 24). We use compressive and shape-retention fabrics to sculpt the body and ensure a comfy, supportive fit. Yeah!

We haven't quite managed to update our site just yet for all products, so if you think you're a Petite or Long body get in touch and we can update that for you. If you bought from us before, size Regular is the original!

How to find your size

Get your tape measure out and choose your size according to your preferred fit. You'll need 4 different measurements - the first table is for your body length, and the next table for the rest of your body. Hit the tab at the top of the table to switch between centimetres and inches.

1. Measure your torso length - the most important measurement in getting a swimsuit that fits!

Torso: wrap a tape measure around the body, start at the mid-point of the shoulder (where the strap would sit), through your legs/crotch and back up again, i.e. a full body loop. We have three different lengths - Petite, Regular, Long

2. Measure the rest of your body:

Bust: measure around the widest part across your chest
Waist: measure around natural waistline, generally just below your rib and a few centimetres / inches above your navel
Hips: measure around the widest part of your hips, generally about 20 cm / 8 inches below your waist

If you're in between sizes, we recommend to go up a size but that depends if you want a looser or tighter fit. Don't be shy to ask for help - hit us up on chat (the little icon at the bottom of our site) or email hello@usualobjections.com.

You've pressed the buy button - now what? (aside from a big cheer here!)

We do have some limited stock but most stuff at the start will be made to order - by us.

One

The fabric needs to relax overnight. It gets lots of stress while rolled up with creases etc. These slowly ease out overnight.

Two

We only cut the amount of fabric we need for the swimwear we're making on any given day. This means less waste and no stock piling up.

Three

Sewing the garment involves between 10-12 seperate steps - all done the old-fashioned way by hand (we do use actual sewing machines - not a needle and thread - we aren't totally crazy).

Four

We carefully package your swimsuit in a box that's intended to keep. If you live within London we can also ship via a green bike courier. Every little helps.

YOU'RE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR SWIMSUIT

OK. White lie. It's not all about the swimsuit but every little helps right? We've crammed as much as we can into this suit and hope you can feel the difference. We also think they look pretty good too - hopefully you think so too.

We love fancy infographics - instead here are some hand drawn ones we made earlier. Every element is something we've tried to cram into the suit from sustainability, design, community, engineering and also the secret sauce - us (and you).

When you feel awesome in your new swimmers it makes getting out of bed for those early morning training sessions all the easier. Bob Bowman - the coach of Michael Phelps had a favourite quote:

We think there's something in that. We have a real drive to make great swimwear and help people get over their own Usual Objections. Putting the foundations down every day the old fashioned way with grit, determination, sweat and some tears.

Right now we have 5 standard sizes based on an EU average. We know we're all different shapes and sizes and as we progress this suit will be available to fit more body types. If you try it on and it doesn't fit - let us know why and you could become one of our beta testers!
