Content creator and marketing Assistant

We’re looking for a content creator and marketing assistant to join our small team. You will be involved in content creation for social media, outreach and help develop our e-commerce presence. This will be the perfect role for someone creative who has a desire to create content and help shape the creative direction of our brand. Must be interested in running and outdoor pursuits.

We make and sell our own run, outdoor and swim apparel from our studio in Dalston, London, focusing on sustainability and quality. Usual Objections was set up with a mission to inspire, enable and equip our customers to overcome the obstacles and objections holding them back (in sport and in life). About the role

This is a hands-on, creative role at the heart of our brand, working closely with our founders, design and production teams.. You’ll shape how we show up across social, web and email - from idea to execution. We’re looking for someone who loves making content, understands Instagram and TikTok, and is excited to be part of a growing independent brand. There will be plenty of opportunities to get stuck in and contribute to many different aspects of the business. 

Your responsibilities:

Content & Social

  • Identify and create engaging content (video, photo, written)

  • Edit and publish across Instagram, TikTok and other channels

  • Optimise captions and copy for growth and engagement

  • Contribute to blog and website content (SEO considered)

Campaigns & Marketing

  • Support digital marketing across social, email, web and paid ads

  • Assist with campaign planning and launches

  • Help build email campaigns (Klaviyo)

  • Work closely with the ecommerce manager to ensure product listings and website content align with marketing campaigns

Creative & Production

  • Support and coordinate photoshoots

  • Liaise with models and scout locations

  • Assist with events and promotional activity

  • Collaborate with the studio team to ensure campaigns align with collections and that gifting or collaborations are prepared and executed smoothly

Analytics & Studio Support

  • Monitor performance data (Google Analytics, Meta Ads)

  • Use insights to improve content and campaigns

  • Support studio operations during busy periods

Who we're looking for

  • Must be interested in running and outdoor pursuits

  • Experienced creating social content (either for personal or business use)

  • Must be able to use photoshop, illustrator and basic video editing software (e.g. Capcut)

  • Strong visual eye and understanding of brand aesthetic

  • Be analytical and interested in data to drive performance

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Comfortable working in a small collaborative team

The is a paid role based in our studio in Dalston, East London, although some off-site travel may be required. Flexible working hours if needed.
