Sewing Machinist

 

We’re looking for a social media and content coordinator to join our team. You will play a key part in supporting our digital growth across social and online. This will be the perfect role for someone creative who has a desire to help shape the creative direction of our brand.

About Usual Objections

We are a boutique sportswear brand. Designed, engineered and made by us in our East London studio with a focus on sustainability and quality. We also offer sampling and manufacturing services to other like-minded designers and we'll soon be offering workshops and talks - in person and online.

Usual Objections was set up with a mission to inspire, enable and equip our cusotmers to overcome the obstacles and objections holding them back (in sport and in life).

About the role

You’ll be an integral part of our team to help grow our digital presence to develop and implement digital marketing strategies across all channels - web, social, SEO, ads, email, etc. There will be plenty of opportunities to get stuck in and contribute to many different aspects of the business.

Duties include:

  • Monitor social media channels daily
  • Engage with our community by managing comments
  • Help with ideation of monthly social/online media calendar and campaigns
  • Draft caption copy support for social posts
  • Create ad-hoc content for TikTok and Instagram
  • Support with in-house content shoots
  • Conduct social media research, highlights trends and competitor activity
  • Compile monthly reports with actionable insights
  • Support with monthly gifting lists, influencer mailers and gifting requests
  • Support with searching for new talent for ambassador campaigns
  • Ad hoc admin duties to support the studio during busy times, including managing customer orders/returns, handling post, etc.

An ideal candidate:

 

  • Must be interested in sports (run/swim ideally) and wellbeing
  • Have a passion for creating content on social - either for yourself or a brand
  • Be comfortable in front of camera
  • Able to use photoshop, illustrator and basic video editing software (e.g. Capcut)
  • Have a strong visual eye
  • Be analytical and interested in data to drive performance
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Work as part of a team

The is a full time permanent role based in our studio in Dalston, East London, although some off-site travel may be required. Flexible working hours if needed. Salary £25k pa. 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
