We’re looking for a marketing and admin assistant to join our team. This will be the perfect role for someone creative who has a real desire to produce content and be involved first hand with building a brand from the ground up.

About Usual Objections

We make and sell our own swim and activewear from our small studio in London, focusing on sustainability and quality. We also offer sampling and manufacturing services to other designers and we’ll soon be offering workshops and talks - in person and online.
Usual Objections was set up with a mission to inspire, enable and equip our customers to overcome the obstacles and objections holding them back (in sport and in life).

What we do

We make high performance, technically developed swimwear. Hand crafted from high quality materials, ethically sourced and sustainably made by us.

We’re now expanding our range to include street and active wear. We are also developing a series of workshops to learn aspects of the business and make cool things!

We sell online but will soon be opening a small retail space.

About the role

You’ll be an integral part of our team to help grow our e-commerce site and social media presence as well as provide some help in the studio with general admin duties. There will be plenty of opportunities to get stuck in and contribute to many different aspects of the business.

Duties include:

  • Identify opportunities for content (video, photos, articles)
  • Be involved in content creation/editing/publishing and optimise copy
  • Help develop and implement digital marketing strategies across all channels - web, social, SEO, ads, email, etc
  • Create, execute and monitor marketing campaigns (organic / paid)
  • Help co-ordinate photo-shoots and liaise with photographers, models and location
  • Evaluate opportunities and help organise materials for promotional events
  • Assist in analysing and interpreting usage and analytics data (Google Analytics, Google and Facebook Ads, etc)
  • Ad hoc admin duties to support the studio during busy times, including managing customer orders/returns, handling post, etc.

An ideal candidate:

  • Able to use photoshop and illustrator
  • Experienced content creator on social (either for personal or business use)
  • Have a strong visual eye
  • Be analytical and interested in data to drive performance
  • Be interested in swimming, sports and wellbeing
This is a paid role based in our studio in Dalston, East London, although some off-site travel may be required.
